Not every one of us is aware of the errors codes and messages that appear on the screen of our printers. There might be brief details that come along with the error but how can we fully understand it especially if we’re not very well informed about the product we’re using.
With our example laser model from Hewlett-Packard, the HP Color LaserJet CP4055DN there are actually quite a few that you will probably experience unexpectedly. Hence, we are here to partly give you explanations and details regarding the most common errors and problems any user may encounter with the specified printer. We've picked three from our long list just to shorten this post, but later on we’ll be posting the rest soon after this.
Note: Don’t mind the number of error codes if they’re not in proper order or whatsoever as they are randomly chosen.
Starting with the error that you will have to deal with regularly, the Error-16 or technically referred to as Low Toner error message, this one tops our list. It’s nothing serious, actually as we said you will see it very often every time the HP 4005 cartridges you’re using runs low of supplies. You have two options, either you shake the cartridge causing the error to temporarily utilize the remaining toners from it, or get a new stock and replace it.
Next is the Error-11 or technically referred to as Paper Out error message. Normally the problem is caused by sensor failure particularly the one embedded on the machine’s paper tray. While you may also see this error if by any chance you forgot to restock paper sheets in the tray and you still send a print tasks to the machine. Just refill the tray with new stocks, restart the printer and things will go well afterwards.
Well the most annoying error for me is the Error-13 or technically referred to as Paper Jam error message. It’s more aggravating if it exists and yet there is no jam inside the machine at all. Basically those chances are related to some damaged components that caused the machine to fail to work properly. But the normal paper jam error can occur from any of these stages through the paper path: pickup, printing, fusing and exit. If your printer provides on-screen guide to fix the error you may follow it or manually you can open the machine and check the areas inside to remove the stocked papers.
