Most printer users around the world knows that having a printing machine and replacing an ink cartridge requires a huge amount of money. But I recently found out that there is another way on how to cut your printing expense while keeping your home or business printer running.

Inkjet cartridges are too expensive most especially on branded inks, and it easily run out suspiciously. You can notice this by looking at your computers Systray (Taskbar) there is a warning symbol on your printers icon, it indicates that your printer cartridge is going to be empty soon, and it will halt your printing process instantly.

But are you going to buy a new cartridge without checking if it is really empty? Even though we cannot see the inside part of the cartridge or use a tool that can check if the cartridge does still have the ink, we should not trust the software installed in the computer or the cartridge memory chip because sometimes it shows wrong result.

If you want to know if it is really empty, press the reset button beside the memory chip and insert the cartridge again, then reboot your computer to update its software.

Here is the tutorial video on how to reset the inkjet cartridge memory, to know if it is already empty or still had an ink:

To be able to save more cash in my business, what I did is that I have both types of printer which is the laser printer from HP that uses HP CE260A black toner cartridge and inkjet printer that uses a remanufactured ink. How it help me financially? Laser printing is much cheaper than printing in color, I use this kind of printer when printing only in black and white colors most especially in printing documents, then I use inkjet printer when necessarily needed such as printing images.

  4. An ink cartridge or inkjet cartridge is a replaceable component of an inkjet printer that contains the ink (and sometimes the print head itself) that is deposited onto paper during printing.

  5. Great post! Professional filler fills the cartridge under a high vacuum this removes the air and then the ink is injected. Only after the sponge is filled completely is air let back into the cartridge.
