Most printer users would probably heard or knew about remanufactured toner cartridges. It isn’t something new so perhaps even the new ones who just bought printer equipment could have been familiar with these supplies.
Are they good enough to use on a printer? Would they cause damages or anything that may harm the machine? Those are just some of the typical question you might have heard from folks who are trying to learn things about these alternative print consumables. To make it short, let’s just ask, are these remanufactured cartridges can be trusted just like an OEM? With no buts or ifs the answer definitely is a big yes!
Remanufactured printer cartridges are not associated with refilled cartridges. In a way yes they are also refilled, but not as what you have in mind. Brother toner cartridges, or even HP, they do refill or I think it’s more appropriate to say, they recycle post-consumer waste from printer users. But it’s not what you think it is. Unlike with conventional refilling that is basically a drill-and-fill method. Recycling cartridges takes a lot of process where used toner or ink tanks are remade through certain processes and steps, before they’re refilled.
OEM or original equipment manufacturer is in short the branded cartridges. Whereas the remans are basically not equally the same as OEM, but only for a certain factor. You see, remanufactured cartridges are commonly referred to as alternatives which is true, as they are indeed substitutes. Users who want to escape the expense of purchasing high-priced supplies for their printer opt to use the remans. But it’s not just because of the low price that they’re continuously using it. For a fact, these supplies they call alternative cartridges can deliver almost exactly the same performance and results of par with an OEM. So you can’t just simply say that you only want to save that’s why you switched.
What you really need is a good retailer that offers replacement and warranties for their products such that they failed to provide what the user has paid for. Basically they are also reliable and can perform nearly as good as an OEM/branded consumable. Additionally, don’t believe on such rumors that it can void your printer’s warranty, those came from their haters. You just have to accept the deal that there’s this trade-off between quality and cost. The bottom line here is that you can choose remanufactured cartridges over high-priced OEMs.
