Brother MFC-9340CDW
Brother MFC-9340CDW
Colored printers tend to experience a number of print quality problems unlike monochromes. Perhaps because they require more toner cartridges, hence more errors may arise. For example, the Brother MFC-9340CDW can get more than ten issues which can be all related mainly to its consumable items. Some print quality issues are unfortunately not covered by those troubleshooting instructions provided in the User Guide that came along with the unit.

Though we can’t give you all the solutions in a single run, we will try to provide you one solution at a time for each specific problem. For now, here’s a basic troubleshooting guide that you can perform or try with your printer having any print-quality issues. Consider it a first-aid remedy to solve errors that you encounter with the printed material that your machine produced.

Note: Performing this solution can probably solve print problems such as:

• Streaks
• Black and White Lines
• Discoloration
• Spots and Bands

It’s more of like an examination procedure wherein you’ll have to check a few components of the unit. Basically there are four things you need to perform. Refer on the steps below for the proper instructions.

If the problem occurred immediately after you install new cartridges, there’s a possibility that the newly installed supplies are causing the issue. Try to reseat all the Brother TN221 toner cartridges and see if the problem still persists. You might also need to remove and re-install the laser drum unit to make sure all the supplies are properly working and are installed correctly.

Paper type and size may also affect printout quality. Your manufacturer provided you with the right software, tools and system to configure the printer on different settings. As a user, it is your duty to make sure settings are properly configured depending on the media to be used. It is not the printer’s fault if the print result has some curled edges, white margins, unnecessary lines, and spots. To think that in fact you just accidentally set it to print on a different configuration.

Check the status of your supplies, such errors may be experienced and considered signs that the cartridges are almost empty. The drum unit on the other hand may be used or worn-out that it leads to damaged printouts. Don’t hesitate to replace supplies as it can be more ideal to so, than continue wasting resources.
