The HP Color LaserJet CM3530 multifunction laser printer is described by Hewlett-Packard as “a device sits on a desktop, yet has all the features of a high-performance color MFP—with print, copy, scan, digital send, and fax capabilities” and “enhances work team productivity with black-and-white and color print speeds up to 31 pages per minute (ppm).” And if ever you own an HP Color LaserJet CM3530 MFP in your office and seems to be having a problem in adjusting the color setting of your printer.

For this article, we’re going to post the following steps on how you can adjust the color setting of your HP Color LaserJet CM3530 MFP or fix the colors on your page which do not match your screen or if you are not satisfied with the colors on your print job.

Steps to Adjust the Color Settings via HP Support Center:
  • Step 1 - Choose the Print option from your software application.
  • Step 2 - Within the Print Dialog Window, click Properties or Preferences.
  • Step 3 - Click the Color tab.
  • Select the Color Themes drop-down list.
  • Default (sRGB): This theme sets the printer to print RGB data in raw device mode. When using this theme, manage color in the software program or in the operating system for correct rendering.
  • Vivid: The printer increases the color saturation in the midtones. Use this theme when printing business graphics.
  • Photo: The printer interprets RGB color as if it were printed as a photograph using a digital mini lab. The printer renders deeper, more saturated colors differently than with the Default (sRBG) theme. Use this theme when printing photos.
  • Photo (Adobe RGB 1998): Use this theme with printing digital photos that use the AdobeRGB color space rather than sRGB. Turn off color management in the software program when using this theme.
  • None: Sets the printer to print RGB data in raw device mode. To render photographs correctly when this option is selected, you must manage color in the program in which you are working or in the operating system.
  • Select the Color Options .
  • Click the Automatic setting.
  • Automatic setting: Select this setting for most color print jobs.
  • Manual setting: Select this setting to adjust the color settings independent from other settings.
  • Click the Print in Grayscale option to print a color document in black and white.
  • Step 4 - Click OK to save changes. Click OK to print.

Take note that changing the color settings of your HP Color LaserJet CM3530 MFP manually can impact the printing output and it is advisable by HP that only color graphics experts change these settings. For more excellent quality prints, make sure to buy high-quality HP CM3530 toner cartridges as your printer’s consumables.
