Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 12 December 2011 - This day, Hewlett-Packard or also known as HP reveal their new mobile application tool that can help their customers to specify/recognize the fake HP ink and HP toner cartridges without a hustle.
According on the statement of the HP representative in Kuala Lumpur, it is said that the new HP eSupplies Mobile App allows the user to scan the product's security label on its packaging (whether it is an ink or toner) to make sure that the product came from HP.
"The new HP Mobile Authentication tool features an innovative technology that will better protect customers from fraudulent printing supplies," said Bernard Chiang, Country General Manager, HP Imaging and Printing Group.
The packaging of every HP products are now have a printed Quick Response (QR) code. So, you can scan on security label of the HP toners and inks to verify its authenticity.
When you scan the QR code of the product using mobile application for scanning QR code, it will direct you to the HP Mobile Authentication tool and you can validate the label.
