Samsung ML-2955DW Laser Printer Review

Samsung ML-2955DW is a USB, Ethernet, and  Wi-Fi support monochrome laser printer that can function in a full network connectivity. This printer can be purchased in a very low price of only 150 US dollars (as of Feb. 8, 2012), but beware of its expensive toner cartridge.

The ML-2955DW comes with a 1000-page yield toner cartridge, but replacing this of 1500-page cartridge can cost you $63, that means your printer will printout a page that cost 4.2 cents per print higher than the current average printing cost of 2.6 cents per page. You can feel its excessiveness if you print in a higher-volume, so, if you can not take the steepness of this product you can research or go down to a lower and reasonably priced printers for your business.

But, the features that make this printer more valuable is because of its fast processing and more memory capacity compare to other printer models. This printer has a 533MHz Central Processing Unit (CPU) and a 64MB of memory, it can print a plain text for up to 18.3 page per minute (ppm). With regards to its tray, it can store a 250-sheet of paper, plus a 150-sheet on its output tray.

While, the control panel has the cancel and power button, and it also enables Wi-Fi secured setup and 'Eco' mode, this mode is used to save more paper by automatically combines duplexing, which it prints on both sides of the paper.

This laser printer model is priced for home and small offices, but in the future its toner cost might be reduced and affordable like the Samsung 105 laser toner. So, if you are looking forward to print more pages per week, purchase the right printer for your business or work group that consume only affordable laser toners or inkjets.
