After occupying the 2nd spot on the most greenest company in America, dated October 16, 2011, reported by TheDailyBeast.com in partnership with Newsweek and other environmental research organizations.

Hewlett-Packard or most of us known as HP, a business that works under technology equipment industry hits the first mark on Greenpeace tech test. Greenpeace is an independent global campaign group that acts to change attitude, behaviour, to help protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.

HP outranked Nokia which had topped the "Guide to Greener Electronics" for the past three years. While the computer maker Dell ranked at second place, It was a huge leap from its former tenth position. With its pledge of cutting emissions by 40% in 2020 and its sustainable paper sourcing policy.

Greenpeace ranked the top 15 company according on how they use energy, sustainability of operations, implementation / use of eco-friendly products and carbon footprint.
